New Delhi, November 13 (Xinhua) — The Indian government on Wednesday described the car bombing in New Delhi as a "heinous terrorist" act committed by anti-India forces.
It took the federal government more than 48 hours to classify the incident as a terrorist attack.
"The country witnessed a heinous terrorist incident perpetrated by anti-national forces through a car bombing at the Red Fort on the evening of November 10, 2025. The blast resulted in the death of many people and several others were injured," reads a resolution passed by the federal cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The government also stressed that India remains unwavering in its commitment to zero tolerance for terrorism in all forms and manifestations.
