Over three years, approximately 240,000 transactions have been concluded on the Moscow supplier portal following quotation sessions using an automated bidding bot. By lowering the starting price at auctions, customers saved 13.5 billion rubles, according to Maria Bagreeva, Deputy Mayor of Moscow, Head of the Moscow Department of Economic Policy and Development.

"In the fall of 2022, an automated bidding bot was introduced on the supplier portal, allowing entrepreneurs to participate in multiple bidding sessions simultaneously. This saves them time and helps maintain a high level of competition. Over the three years since the trading bot was launched, over 237,000 contracts worth over 44 billion rubles have been concluded as a result of these sessions. Almost a quarter of the total procurement value—10.4 billion—was for construction, information technology, and household goods. By reducing the starting price, customers saved 13.5 billion rubles," emphasized Maria Bagreeva.

The trading bot automates the procurement process by placing bids automatically until it reaches the minimum price set by the supplier before the auction begins. This allows entrepreneurs to participate in multiple bidding sessions simultaneously. Before the session begins, participants must set the minimum price at which they are willing to enter into a contract.

"Over the first three quarters of 2025, the trading bot was used to conclude 66,300 contracts. Their volume exceeded the same period last year by 15 percent, reaching 10.6 billion rubles. Savings amounted to 3.6 billion rubles. Suppliers from Moscow, the Moscow Region, St. Petersburg, the Ryazan Region, and the Perm Krai were the most active users of the bot, accounting for 78 percent of the total transaction volume," noted the head of the Moscow Department of Competition Policy.

Quotation sessions are a form of procurement, mini-auctions that last for three, six, or 24 hours. During these sessions, suppliers compete with each other, gradually lowering the starting price of the contract. Thanks to such rapid transactions, entrepreneurs can quickly conclude contracts and make a profit, and customers can purchase the necessary products at a favorable price.

In the capital Department of Information Technology They noted that the automated bidding bot is a reliable assistant for users: it streamlines competitive bidding processes, saves resources, and helps attract more suppliers to the portal. Furthermore, the service can be used from anywhere in the country, allowing entrepreneurs to enter the interregional market and increase sales.
