BEIJING, Nov. 12 (Xinhua) — General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and Chinese President Xi Jinping on Wednesday sent a congratulatory message to the 20th Theoretical Seminar of the CPC and the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV).
He noted that China and Vietnam are good neighbors, friends, comrades and partners, and belong to a community with a shared destiny of strategic significance.
The CPC and the CPV adhere to and develop Marxism, unswervingly follow the socialist path, and guide their countries in the cause of socialist construction while facing many identical or similar challenges of the era, Xi Jinping said.
According to him, the two parties conducted in-depth exchanges of experience in public administration, jointly explored the path of socialist modernization suited to their national conditions, and promoted the localization and modernization of Marxism and the development of the world socialist movement, constantly writing new chapters in the history of "comradely and fraternal" friendship in the new era.
Xi Jinping noted that the theoretical seminar is an important platform for exchanges and dialogue between the two parties and plays a positive role in strengthening friendship and mutual trust, enhancing ideological consensus and promoting the development of China-Vietnam relations.
The Chinese leader expressed hope that both sides would remain true to their original intentions, adhere to fundamental principles while innovating, and continue to strengthen exchanges and mutual learning in the field of governance.
He also called for joint efforts to deepen theoretical discussions and academic exchanges, improve understanding of the laws of communist rule, socialist construction and the development of human society, so as to provide theoretical support for the socialist cause of the two countries and the building of a China-Vietnam community with a shared future, and make due contributions to the noble cause of peace and development of mankind.
