Samotlorneftegaz, a Rosneft production asset, has planted over 200,000 coniferous seedlings in the Ural Federal District. This large-scale reforestation project has been completed over an area of over 60 hectares.
Pine seedlings adapted to local conditions were used to create a resilient forest ecosystem. To ensure successful rooting and increased survival of young trees, oil companies will implement agronomic maintenance measures over the next three years. Creating favorable conditions for plant development and improving the quality of reforestation aligns with one of the priority areas of the federal project "Forest Conservation" for 2025-2030.
In a few years, a full-fledged pine forest will form in the landscaped areas. This significant environmental reforestation project is part of the Company's extensive and consistent efforts to replenish forest resources.
In recent years, with the company's support, over 1.3 million coniferous trees have been planted in Western Siberia. Young forests have been established over an area of over 350 hectares, making a significant contribution to the preservation and expansion of Russia's forest resources.
Preserving the environment for future generations is an integral part of Rosneft's corporate culture. The company implements large-scale environmental programs aimed at minimizing its environmental impact, improving the sustainability of its production, and preserving and replenishing natural ecosystems.
