Moscow, November 12 (Xinhua) — The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has imposed an indefinite entry ban on 30 Japanese citizens. This was announced on the Russian Foreign Ministry's website on Tuesday.

"As part of retaliatory measures against official Tokyo's ongoing so-called sanctions against our country, linked to a special military operation, a decision has been made to permanently ban the following Japanese citizens from entering the Russian Federation," the statement reads.

The list includes Japanese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Kitamura Toshihiro, journalists from the Asahi, Nikkei, Mainichi, and Yomimuri newspapers, Fuji TV, TBS, and the Kyodo news agency, professors from Hitotsubashi University, Keio University, and the University of Tokyo, etc.

Moscow warned that the path to resuming dialogue would only open after Japan abandons its anti-Russian course.
