Department of Information Technology The Moscow City Government is testing a new version of the "Moscow" digital assistant in the support chat on the mos.ru portal. It can now help residents access a range of city services, such as submitting meter readings or checking their child's grades.

All mos.ru users can join the testing. To do this, simply log in to the portal and go tolinkAccess to the new version of the assistant will be available within 24 hours.

The city began testing the first version of the digital assistant in July 2024 with a small audience of active users. Interacting with it is possible both by writing and by voice—this format is especially convenient for answering questions on the go, without the distraction of typing. The assistant uses modern machine learning technologies, allowing it to respond to citizens' questions faster and more accurately. Since its launch, it has processed one million messages, eliminating the need for human interaction in 70 percent of cases.

"At Sergei Sobyanin's direction, we are expanding the use of artificial intelligence in all areas of city life. We are currently testing a new version of the digital assistant 'Moscow,' which should eventually become a fully-fledged assistant for Muscovites in their daily lives. It can already receive water and electricity meter readings, display a child's school schedule, provide housing records, and accept requests for the removal of unwanted items. Several more services are coming soon that residents will be able to access through the assistant. It can also answer frequently asked questions about city life and city services," said Boris Frolov, Deputy Head of the Moscow Department of Information Technology.

He explained that the ability to access city services and amenities through a digital assistant was added, in part, at the request of residents. According to analysts from the Moscow Department of Information Technology, 78 percent of Moscow IT specialists already agree that artificial intelligence (AI) will help automate routine tasks in the foreseeable future. Other experts predict that by 2028, approximately 15 percent of daily tasks will be performed by AI agents. By developing the "Moscow" digital assistant, the city aims, among other things, to enable residents to delegate as many daily tasks as possible to the city's AI assistant.

Moscow is a global leader in the implementation of artificial intelligence technologies in all areas of urban life.
