In the first nine months of this year, clothing production in Moscow increased by 42.1 percent compared to the same period in 2024. Today, more than 340 light industry enterprises operate in the capital, ranging from small design studios to large factories. "The light industry is developing rapidly. Thanks to city support, businesses are successfully adapting to modern market demands and technological challenges. In the first nine months of this year alone, clothing production grew 42.1 percent compared to the same period in 2024," said Anatoly Garbuzov.
In particular, Moscow clothing manufacturer Pink Bus expanded its product range in 2025. The company presented 150 new prints, created by its own team or in collaboration with artists and other brands. Plans include launching a loungewear line, which is expected to hit stores by the end of the year.
The Moscow-based company "Kanoe" increased its knitwear production by 10 percent, and the brand's sales grew by 30 percent compared to last year. The factory specializes in headwear, and its products are worn by over 17 million people.
By the end of the year, Moscow-based Ecos Wear plans to introduce new high-tech suits and comfortable balaclavas for production line workers. The brand's product range already includes premium overalls and warm suits for workers in low-temperature workshops. The workwear is designed to ensure food processing plant workers feel comfortable and confident.
Moscow is Russia's largest industrial and scientific-engineering center. Around 150 high-tech enterprises open in the city annually. Currently, nearly 4,600 industrial companies operate in the capital, employing approximately 755,000 people. Today, manufacturers have access to over 20 effective support programs, including a preferential investment loan program, offset contracts, and other instruments.
