BEIJING, Nov. 12 (Xinhua) — China on Wednesday expressed "strong dissatisfaction and resolute opposition" to Japan's leader's outrageous remarks about Taiwan in parliament, saying they seriously violated the one-China principle and constituted gross interference in China's internal affairs.
“There is only one China in the world, and Taiwan is part of it,” Chen Binhua, spokesman for the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China, said at a regular press conference, commenting on the Japanese leader’s statements at a journalist’s request.
Chen Binhua made the remarks after the Japanese leader recently made statements in parliament regarding Taiwan, drawing sharp criticism from China. -0-
