Beijing, November 12 (Xinhua) — East China's Shandong Province's trade with Russia grew 3.8 percent to 197.57 billion yuan (about 27.9 billion U.S. dollars) in the first 10 months of 2025, China's Dazhong Ribao newspaper reported, citing statistics from Qingdao and Jinan Customs.
According to customs data, Shandong Province's total foreign trade volume for the reporting period amounted to 2.89 trillion yuan, an increase of 4.7 percent year-on-year. Exports totaled 1.76 trillion yuan, an increase of 4.0 percent year-on-year, while imports rose 5.7 percent to 1.13 trillion yuan.
From January to October this year, Shandong's trade volume with countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative increased by 8.4 percent year-on-year to 1.85 trillion yuan, accounting for 64.2 percent of the province's total foreign trade during the reporting period.
In terms of individual sectors, Shandong Province's exports of electromechanical products and agricultural products continued to grow. In the first 10 months of this year, the province's exports of electromechanical products totaled 858.37 billion yuan, an increase of 8.1 percent, while agricultural exports totaled 135.17 billion yuan, an increase of 2.2 percent. -0-
