More than 90 families have already moved into a new building on Nikitinskaya Street (building 5) under the renovation program. This was announced by the Moscow Government Minister and Head of the Moscow Department of Urban Development Policy. Vladislav Ovchinsky.
In total, 59 old buildings in the Izmailovo district will be relocated under the renovation program, and approximately 2,600 families will receive modern housing.
"Relocation to the new building on Nikitinskaya Street began in June of this year. Today, over 90 families have already celebrated their housewarming. Of these, over 70 families took advantage of the city's moving assistance: they were provided with free movers and a vehicle to transport their belongings. The "Moving Assistance" service can be ordered on the mos.ru portal or at the Relocation Information Center. Once the relocation is complete, shops, cafes, pharmacies, online order pickup points, and other businesses will be able to open on the first floor of the new building," said Vladislav Ovchinsky.
Near the house there are educational institutions, consumer services, the Izmailovo estate, the Lilac Garden, and the Izmailovskaya metro station.
Earlier, Sergei Sobyanin reported that houses built under the renovation program save up to 40 percent of resources compared to five-story buildings.
The renovation program was approved in August 2017. It affects approximately one million Muscovites and involves the relocation of 5,176 buildings. Sergei Sobyanin ordered that the pace of its implementation be doubled.
