Bratislava, November 10 (Xinhua) – At least 18 people were injured in a collision between two trains on Sunday evening in western Slovakia, the TASR news agency reported.
The collision occurred on the railway line between the Slovak capital and the town of Pezinok. State-owned passenger carrier ZSSK reported that it was cooperating with railway operator ZSR, police, and emergency services to resolve the situation.
The wounded were taken to four hospitals, TASR reported.
Train service in the area has been suspended. A gradual resumption of full rail service is expected, ZSSK reported.
