New Delhi, November 10 (Xinhua) — At least eight people were killed in a car bombing that occurred in New Delhi on Monday evening, and several others were seriously injured and taken to a local hospital, Aaj Tak television reported.
There has been no official confirmation yet. The cause of the explosion is unknown.
The explosion occurred in a car parked near the historic Red Fort in the Indian capital.
According to the TV channel, at least a dozen people were seriously injured as a result of the incident.
The site of the explosion is a busy shopping district. A metro station is also located nearby.
