BEIJING, November 10 (Xinhua) — China's Ministry of Transport on Monday announced a one-year suspension of special port charges for vessels owned or operated by U.S. enterprises, organizations or individuals.
The suspension of such fees took effect at 1:01 p.m. Monday.
At the same time, the Department announced a one-year suspension of its investigation into the impact of the U.S. investigation under Section 301 of the U.S. Trade Act on the security and development interests of the country's shipping and shipbuilding sectors, as well as on related production and supply chains.
These measures are in line with the consensus reached during the recent China-US trade and economic talks in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the department said. -0-
