SEOUL, November 10 (Xinhua) — A Chinese fishing vessel capsized in waters off Eocheon Island, approximately 180 kilometers south of the South Korean capital, Seoul. Nine crew members are believed to have been on board, the Renhap News Agency reported on Monday.

At around 8:53 a.m. local time, reports came in that the 99-ton vessel had capsized in waters approximately 150 kilometers southwest of the island.

The South Korean Coast Guard has dispatched patrol ships and helicopters to the scene to conduct search and rescue operations.
