Moscow, November 10 (Xinhua) – Kazakhstan is a special, privileged partner of Russia. Moscow is currently finalizing preparations for Kazakh leader Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's state visit to Russia, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov told reporters.
"Kazakhstan is a special, privileged partner of Russia, a very important country and state for us. We are, of course, actively finalizing preparations for President Tokayev's state visit to Russia, which begins tomorrow," said D. Peskov.
According to him, Russian President Vladimir Putin will inform K.-Zh. Tokayev about events on the front lines and the peace process in Ukraine.
"Every time, the presidents use bilateral contacts to give Putin the opportunity to brief them on the latest developments both on the front lines and in the peace process. I have no doubt that Putin will do so during these upcoming two-day state visit," the Kremlin spokesman said.
K.-Z. Tokayev's state visit to Russia will take place on November 11-12. During the talks, the leaders will discuss current issues related to the further development of Russian-Kazakh strategic partnership and alliance in the political, trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres, as well as key topics on the regional and global agenda. A number of bilateral documents have been prepared for signing.
