BEIJING, November 10 (Xinhua) — China's National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) on Monday released a policy document aimed at improving the consumption and regulation of new energy sources to build a new type of energy system and power grid.
As stated in the document, by 2030, China should have basically built a coordinated and highly efficient multi-level system for the consumption and regulation of new energy sources, ensuring their unimpeded connection to power grids, diversified use, and highly efficient operation.
According to the directive, by this time the bulk of new electricity demand must be met by increasing electricity generation from new sources.
By 2035, it is planned to have basically formed a new type of energy system, adapted to a high share of energy use from new sources, and to further improve the systems for their consumption and regulation.
The document emphasizes that a single national electricity market will play a fundamental role in the distribution of new energy resources, ensuring their optimal distribution and highly efficient consumption throughout the country. –0–
