Minsk, November 9 (Xinhua) — Belarus's participation in the China International Import Expo (CIIE) is a direct demonstration of its commitment to increasing exports to China, First Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus Sergei Lukashevich said in an interview with BelTA.
According to him, the participation of Belarusian enterprises in Chinese exhibitions is an integral part of the strategy to promote Belarusian exports and strengthen the position of the "Made in Belarus" brand.
"The China International Import Expo in Shanghai remains a key multi-industry exhibition. Belarus regularly presents a national pavilion at the CIIE. In recent years, the Belarusian exhibit has seen significant growth: from traditional food products (dairy, meat, and confectionery), the Belarusian side is shifting to high-tech products, including electronics, automotive components, and IT products," noted S. Lukashevich.
"Belarus' participation in the China International Import Expo (CIIE) is a direct demonstration of our commitment to increasing exports to China," said the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus.
S. Lukashevich stated that the China-Eurasia Expo in Urumqi is also an important gateway for Belarusian goods to western China and Central Asia. The Guangzhou/Canton Fair attracts Belarusian manufacturers of industrial goods, equipment, and consumer goods. The SIAL exhibition is of great importance for Belarusian agro-industrial enterprises.
"I would like to emphasize that the participation of Belarusian companies in Chinese exhibitions is systematic, large-scale, and qualitatively growing. We are seeing an evolution from the presentation of raw materials to the promotion of high-tech products with added value," noted the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus.
He also noted that Belarus and China are demonstrating to the world an example of genuine, open and effective cooperation.
"As Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has repeatedly emphasized, China is our key political and economic partner. We see enormous potential in the Belt and Road Initiative for integrating the Belarusian economy into global supply chains, and the Chinese market, with its nearly 1.5 billion people, is of enormous interest to us," Lukashevich concluded.
