Gaza/Jerusalem, Nov. 8 (Xinhua) — Israel handed over the remains of 15 more dead Palestinians to the Gaza Strip through the International Committee of the Red Cross on Saturday, a day after Palestinian armed groups returned the remains of an Israeli hostage as part of the ongoing ceasefire agreement.
The handover took place after the Israeli side confirmed that the remains handed over to it by Hamas the previous evening belonged to a reservist killed during a Hamas attack on southern Israel on October 7, 2023.
Thus, as a result of the current exchange, the total number of returned bodies of dead Palestinians has reached 300, while 23 hostage bodies have been returned to Israel. –0–
