BEIJING, Nov. 7 (Xinhua) — China's Xinhua News Agency and the Palestinian news agency WAFA signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in Beijing on Friday, agreeing to expand collaboration in areas such as journalist training and joint reporting.
Xinhua News Agency Director General Fu Hua said that cooperation between media outlets is an important part of cultural and humanitarian exchanges and serves as a bridge for strengthening mutual understanding and friendship between the peoples of the two countries.
He noted that both news agencies should expand cooperation in various fields and promote common development through mutual learning and exchange of experiences.
Ahmed Assaf, Director General of the Official Palestinian Media and Chairman of the Board of Directors of WAFA, stated that Palestine attaches great importance to the development of China's media industry and technology and is ready to strengthen cooperation with the Xinhua News Agency and other Chinese media outlets. –0–
