BEIJING, Nov. 7 (Xinhua) — A think tank report clarifying China's economic and social development plan for the 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026-2030) was released Friday at a study symposium for the 4th Plenary Session of the 20th Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee in Beijing.
The report, titled "A Key Stage in the Main Implementation of China's Modernization – Strategic Plan for China's Economic and Social Development during the 15th Five-Year Plan Period," was jointly released by high-level national think tanks affiliated with the Party History and Documents Research Institute of the CPC Central Committee and the Xinhua News Agency.
The report summarized the main achievements in economic and social development during the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025) and outlined strategic plans for economic and social development for the 15th Five-Year Plan.
The report also provided a comprehensive overview of the fundamental principles guiding China's economic and social development, including upholding the CPC's all-round leadership, putting the people first, pursuing high-quality development, comprehensively deepening reform, promoting the formation of both an efficient market and a proactive government, and ensuring both development and security.
In a world full of change and uncertainty, the formulation and implementation of the 15th Five-Year Plan will enable China to maintain its role as the main engine and anchor of peace and development, presenting the world with a vision of unshakable and lasting certainty, the report said. -0-
