MANILA, November 6 (Xinhua) — Typhoon Kalmaegi left the Philippines before dawn on Thursday, leaving 114 people dead and at least 127 missing, mostly in the central regions, the Philippine Civil Defense Authority reported.

Deputy Commissioner Bernardo Rafaelito Alejandro told local media that Typhoon Kalmaegi has killed at least 114 people in five regions of the central Philippines. He said the search for the missing continues, including 65 in Cebu Province and another 62 on Negros Island.

Kalmaegi became the 20th typhoon to hit the Philippines this year. –0–
