BEIJING, Nov. 6 (Xinhua) — The central parity rate of the Chinese yuan against the U.S. dollar strengthened 36 basis points to 7.0865 yuan per dollar today compared with the previous trading day, according to the China Central Exchange Commission.

On the previous trading day, the yuan-dollar exchange rate was 7.0901 yuan per dollar.

At the order of the People's Bank of China (the Central Bank), the China Foreign Exchange Center published data according to which the exchange rate of the yuan against other major currencies on the country's interbank foreign exchange market was: 8.1621 yuan per euro, 4.6126 yuan per 100 yen, 0.91151 yuan per Hong Kong dollar, 9.2674 yuan per pound sterling, 11.4190 rubles per yuan. -0-
