The 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE) opened on November 5th. In anticipation of the event, Li Yongkai, CEO of Johnson Health Tech's China division, has an increasingly busy schedule. Three previous participations have generated orders, strengthened his reputation, and opened up opportunities for collaboration—all of which has him and his team eagerly anticipating their fourth trip to the expo.
The expansion of the company's booth space is clear evidence of this. "Our booth at CIIE has grown from its initial 216 square meters to 500, and this year it will be 600 square meters," explained Li Yunkai. By January 2025, the company had already fully launched its preparations for participation, creating dedicated teams for booth planning, product development, exhibit design, and distributor relations.
Founded in 1975, Johnson opened a factory in Shanghai quite early on. Recalling his first encounter with the CIIE, Li Yunkai said, "At the time, a friend of mine received a large order for the CIIE. I immediately turned to him for advice. He told me that the exhibition was not only an effective advertising platform but also capable of quickly expanding sales channels and increasing brand influence. So we decided to give it a try."
At the fifth CIIE, Johnson, participating for the first time, showcased three key product series: high-end commercial fitness equipment, convenient home fitness devices, as well as professional exercise equipment and smart massage chairs.
To Li Yongkai's surprise, Johnson not only "won the first bid," receiving letters of intent worth over 500 million yuan, but also signed a series of cooperation agreements with key partners such as the Shanghai Jiading District Government and Huawei.
Following its participation in the fifth CIIE, Johnson expanded its presence in the Greater China market. The company opened a comprehensive strategic office in Shanghai's Hongqiao Business District and plans to expand its product demonstration and testing facility, contributing to the creation of a "permanent CIIE site."
At the 8th CIIE, Johnson will unveil a new home fitness ecosystem powered by AI and IoT, and showcase a range of innovative health products and solutions.
