BEIJING, November 6 (Xinhua) — From January to September 2025, 3,457 China-Europe international freight trains passed through the Manzhouli railway port in North China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, carrying 361,842 TEUs of cargo. These figures increased by 4.8 percent and 2.9 percent year-on-year, respectively, the Neimenggu Ribao daily reported on Thursday.
During the specified period, the number of China-Europe trains that entered the territory of the PRC through the Manzhouli checkpoint was 2,128, and they carried 221,868 TEU of cargo.
As a key hub on the eastern route of international China-Europe rail freight, the Manzhouli railway crossing has developed a well-developed transportation network. Currently, 21 China-Europe rail routes pass through this crossing, connecting 14 countries, including Poland, Germany, and the Netherlands, as well as more than 60 Chinese cities, including Changsha, Zhengzhou, Chengdu, and Suzhou. The range of goods carried by these trains covers 12 categories of goods, including electrical appliances, daily necessities, agricultural products, and subsidiary industries.
