BEIJING, Nov. 6 (Xinhua) — The award ceremony for the 35th China Journalism Award, the country's highest journalism honor, was held in Beijing on Thursday.
Li Shulei, a member of the Politburo of the CPC Central Committee and head of the Propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee, attended the event and delivered a speech.
The participants of the event agreed on the need to organize educational work throughout the country regarding China’s socio-economic development strategies for the period of the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030), as well as ways of implementing it.
There was a call for deeper systematic changes in leading media outlets, accelerated institutional reforms to align with the requirements of multimedia content generation and distribution, increased influence and dissemination of leading public opinion, improved reporting and commentary methods, enhanced skills and abilities in the field of information transmission, and optimized personnel management.
The ceremony, organized by the All-China Journalists Association, honored 377 works, as well as winners of two other national journalism awards. -0-
