BEIJING, Nov. 6 (Xinhua) — A seminar was held in Beijing on Wednesday to commemorate the 130th anniversary of the birth of Zou Taofen (1895-1944), who is known as an authoritative cultural figure, a great patriot, and an outstanding publisher and journalist in modern China.
Li Shulei, a member of the Politburo of the CPC Central Committee and head of the Propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee, attended the seminar and delivered a speech.
During the event, those present noted that Zou Taofen embodied the noble qualities inherent in China's progressive intelligentsia and embodied the cultural spirit of the CPC. They called for efforts to cultivate Zou Taofen's patriotic, selfless, and enterprising spirit, thereby contributing to the comprehensive advancement of the great cause of building a powerful nation and achieving national rejuvenation through China's modernization.
