A large-scale program of educational excursions for pre-vocational students has begun in Moscow. The students will visit the sites of over 300 partner companies and learn about the work of modern medical facilities, high-tech manufacturing facilities, and media outlets. "One of the goals of pre-vocational education is to help high school students choose the right university, program, and department to suit their interests, and, ultimately, their career path. Today, over 300 partners collaborate with the capital's pre-vocational classes: leading IT companies, media holdings, and state corporations. Among them are Rostec, Roscosmos, Gazprom-Media Holding, and others. They host events that help students immerse themselves in the profession and acquire new skills and competencies. For high school students, this is a chance to learn about the work of leading companies and receive helpful advice from potential employers. More than 13,000 students from engineering, medical, and media classes will participate in the excursions," said Anastasia Rakova.
Students in medical classes will visit over 150 healthcare facilities, including city clinics, hospitals, and ambulance stations. They will see how medical facilities operate and interact with doctors from various specialties, including general practitioners, pediatricians, surgeons, and emergency physicians. They will be shown modern equipment for examinations and surgeries, and will learn about emergency care and patient care.
Future engineers will be able to explore over 90 sites, including Moscow technology parks and high-tech manufacturing facilities. These include residents of the Technopolis Moscow special economic zone, as well as enterprises of the state corporations Rostec, Roscosmos, and Rosatom. High school students will see how helicopters, rocket engines, cosmetics, baby food, and much more are made, and will also have the opportunity to interact with experienced specialists.
Students in media classes will become familiar with the work of television channels, film studios, and radio stations of Moscow Media and Gazprom-Media Holding. This year, the students will also undertake pre-professional internships in a new format: at the request of industry partners, they will film reports and write articles about events organized at city venues. They have already worked as photographers, cameramen, and correspondents at events for the TASS news agency, the Cosmonautics Museum, and other institutions. The high school students' materials are published on the clients' websites.
Students from other pre-vocational classes have also begun immersing themselves in their future professions. IT students spend their school days at 1C and Sber's School 21 digital technology school, where they try programming and working with databases. Students from entrepreneurship classes attend business trainings and seminars by leading city entrepreneurs.
Pre-vocational classes facilitate early career guidance for schoolchildren and are in line with the objectives of the national project. Youth and Children.
