Tehran, November 5 (Xinhua) — Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on Wednesday that any potential talks with the United States will focus solely on Tehran's nuclear issue, according to Iran's official news agency IRNA.
A. Araghchi made the statement in a conversation with journalists on the sidelines of a cabinet meeting, outlining Iran's position on issues that could be discussed in potential future negotiations with the United States.
In recent months, the US has repeatedly called on Iran to cease uranium enrichment and dismantle its missile program. Iran has rejected these demands, calling both issues non-negotiable.
“Our position has always been clear: if any negotiations begin, they will only concern the nuclear issue,” the Iranian minister emphasized. –0–
