Almaty/Shanghai, November 5 (Xinhua) — The China International Import Expo (CIIE) is a strategic platform that offers Kazakh manufacturers the opportunity to enter the world's largest market. This was stated by Kazybek Shaikh, Chairman of the National Association of Cooperatives and Other Economic Community Forms of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in an interview with Xinhua ahead of the 8th CIIE, which is taking place from November 5 to 10 in Shanghai, China.
"This year, more than 100 Kazakhstani companies will participate in the exhibition, making our delegation the largest in the history of Kazakhstan's participation in the CIIE," said K. According to him, participants include representatives of the agro-industrial complex, agricultural processors, food and light industry enterprises, IT companies, and innovative startups.
According to K. Shaikh, a business-matching event will be held at the exhibition, during which Kazakh and Chinese companies will negotiate and sign specific contractual agreements. "We expect these meetings to lay the foundation for long-term partnerships, new export routes, and joint investment projects," he said.
K. Shaikh believes that the CIIE is not just an exhibition, but also a tool for integration and practical cooperation within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative, which creates new opportunities for growth, infrastructure development, and deepening international cooperation.
