From November 7 to 9, the City of Living Stories Museum will be open on Red Square, dedicated to the 84th anniversary of the legendary military parade of 1941.

"The exhibition, covering over 17,000 square meters, will be dedicated to Moscow's contribution to the Great Patriotic War. The exhibition's highlight is the stories of the capital's military dynasties, who dedicated entire generations to defending our country," she explained.

Ekaterina Dragunova, Chairman of the capital's Committee for Public Relations and Youth Policy.

The museum will have 10 thematic zones covering various aspects of city life – from the work of government and industry to the organization of defense and the activities of cultural institutions.

For example, the "Operation Evacuation" section will explore the role of transportation and the operation of Moscow's train stations, from which businesses and cultural treasures were evacuated to the east. Visitors will see transport route maps, rare photographs, model cars, trams, and travel tickets.

The "Moscow Press" section will provide information about the work of media outlets, journalists, and war correspondents. Thematic publications, propaganda posters, and personal belongings of war correspondents will be on display.

The "Aviation Shield of the Capital" section will be dedicated to airspace protection. Residents and visitors to the capital will be able to see aircraft models, hot air balloon elements, photographs of pilots and airfields, and pilots' personal belongings.

Residents and tourists will be able to learn about the capital's defense, its industrial sector, scientific discoveries, military medicine, culture, and art. The exhibition will also tell the personal stories of those who forged Victory on the home front: designers, engineers, workers, and many others.

One of the museum's exhibits will be a map of Moscow in 1941, dedicated to the formation of people's militia divisions in various districts of the capital. Visitors will be able to see how residents rose up en masse to defend the city.
