BEIJING, November 5 (Xinhua) — This year's 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE), to be held from November 5 to 10, will be the first major economic event held by China since the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC Central Committee). The event once again demonstrates China's determination to promote high-level opening-up and share development opportunities with other countries.

In the “Proposals of the CPC Central Committee on the 15th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development,” adopted at the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, which concluded in late October, China reaffirmed its commitment to further expanding institutional opening-up, safeguarding the multilateral trading system, and promoting the expansion of international economic flows.

In the eight years since the first CIIE was held, the Expo, by connecting international enterprises with China's vast market, has become an important bridge for foreign companies to share new partnership opportunities with China.

The 8th CIIE, boasting the largest exhibition space ever, will feature a record 4,108 companies from 138 countries and regions, including American companies that have held the largest exhibition space for seven consecutive years. This demonstrates the international community's continued confidence in the Chinese economy.

For companies targeting growth opportunities in China, an event like CIIE is unmissable. This year's exhibition will showcase some 461 new products, technologies, and services, including humanoid robots, digital consumption, the silver economy, and the low-altitude economy. This will provide tremendous opportunities to share the fruits of innovation and tap into China's expanding consumer market.

By participating in the CIIE, foreign companies can gain greater insight into the development of the Chinese market, trends, and consumer habits. Furthermore, they can engage in face-to-face interactions with their Chinese partners and consumers, facilitating the exchange of opinions and opening up opportunities for collaboration.

It is worth noting that this year the exhibition is expanding its specialized exhibition areas for goods from African countries with diplomatic relations with China, allowing their enterprises to fully utilize the zero-tariff policy.

The CIIE has been successfully held for seven consecutive years, with a total estimated transaction volume exceeding US$500 billion, helping businesses around the world cope with market fluctuations.

In the first three quarters of 2025, China's GDP grew by 5.2 percent year-on-year. With a solid foundation, high resilience, and enormous potential, the Chinese economy will continue to drive the global economy as it continues to strive for high-quality development.

Over the years, China's sincerity in providing development opportunities has been clear to all. Looking to the future, China stands ready to work with all parties to further promote common prosperity.
