Almaty, November 5 (Xinhua) — Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev approved the fundamental principles, values, and directions of the country's domestic policy. This was reported on Wednesday by the Kazinform news agency, citing the presidential press service.

The document formulates the following principles of domestic political work: “law and order,” “a listening state,” “different opinions, a united nation,” “a strong president, an influential parliament, an accountable government,” “an honest citizen,” and “a clean Kazakhstan.”

In addition, a list of national values is provided. National symbols, intended to become fundamental elements of national identity, are separately listed.

The document also outlines priority areas of domestic policy: public dialogue, policy in the sphere of interethnic relations, policy in the sphere of religion, cultural and humanitarian, family, youth and information policy.
