Moscow, November 4 /Xinhua/ — A ceremonial celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Moscow trading house "Druzhba", owned by the Chinese company Zhongchengtong International Investment Co., Ltd. /Chengtong International/, took place in the Russian capital on Tuesday.
The event was held under the motto “25 years of Chinese-Russian friendship: together towards new achievements.”
Speaking at the ceremony, Zhou Hao, Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Russia, noted that the Druzhba Trading House has become a comprehensive platform for investment, trade services, and cultural exchanges.
"His signature snacks and traditional Chinese medicine services have become a shining example of trade and economic cooperation between China and Russia, making him a unique element of Sino-Russian trade and economic cooperation," Zhou Hao emphasized.
Alexey Korolev, Deputy Head of the Tverskoy District Administration in Moscow, congratulated the shopping center on its 25th anniversary. He noted that Druzhba is not only an important retail facility in the Tverskoy District but also a vital partner in community development. At the event, Korolev presented a letter of gratitude from the administration, acknowledging the shopping center's contribution to the district's socioeconomic development.
The creation of the Druzhba Trading House was initiated as part of the regular meetings between the leaders of China and Russia. The trading house officially opened in 2000 and, over the next 25 years, has evolved into a modern multifunctional complex.
