BEIJING, Nov. 4 (Xinhua) — Hangzhou, capital of East China's Zhejiang Province, known as the "e-commerce capital" of China, opened its first overseas service center in the city of Almalyk in Uzbekistan's Tashkent region to serve businesses entering the overseas market.

The official name of the new institution is the One-Stop Service Center for Hangzhou Enterprises Entering the Foreign (Uzbek) Market. Its main purpose is to provide these enterprises with policy advice on localizing production in Uzbekistan and to establish connections between potential business partners from both countries. The establishment of this center marks a new stage in trade and economic cooperation between China and Uzbekistan, according to the news portal chinanews.com.cn, citing a statement from the Hangzhou Council for the Promotion of International Trade.

Analysts note that Hangzhou's choice of Uzbekistan as its first overseas business service hub is no coincidence. In recent years, the Uzbek market has steadily increased its openness to the outside world, becoming an important springboard for Chinese companies to explore the Eurasian market. The creation of this hub represents an innovative move by the Chinese city to assist companies in their efforts to enter markets in countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative.

As it became known, the Hangzhou Council for the Promotion of International Trade also signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and the Holley Tashkent Industrial and Technopark, which provides for the coordinated development of a comprehensive system of business services, covering, in particular, legislation, taxation, finance, human resources, applications for political preferences and market access. -0-
