Almaty, November 4 (Xinhua) – 112 dead Caspian seals were found on the coast of the Caspian Sea in the Mangystau region of southwestern Kazakhstan, the regional ecology department reported on Tuesday.

The dead animals were found on a stretch of coast from the village of Asan to Cape Bautino.

On Monday, a resident of a coastal village discovered six dead seals on the shore, two of which had their necks entangled in fishing nets. The resident reported the discovery to the authorities.

On the same day, based on the received message, samples of sea water were taken from the coast in the Tupkaragan region. –0–
