Prague, November 3 (Xinhua) — The Action of Dissatisfied Citizens (ANO) party of former Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš signed a coalition agreement with the Freedom and Direct Democracy (SPD) and Motorists parties on Monday, paving the way for the formation of a new government.
The document, which sets out the coalition's basic political principles, will serve as the basis for the new government's policy statement.
“We will defend the interests of the Czech Republic at all levels – in the European Union, in NATO and in the broader international community,” said A. Babiš.
According to him, the names of the new government members will be announced by the end of November.
The ANO party won the parliamentary elections held in October.
Czech President Petr Pavel has officially instructed Andrei Babiš to form a new government, and he expects to complete the process by mid-December.
