Hanoi, November 3 (Xinhua) — One person died Monday morning in the central Vietnamese city of Da Nang after a landslide triggered by heavy rainfall. A livestock farm was also damaged, the Vietnam News Agency reported.
According to the report, the landslide caused soil and rocks to fall from the mountainside. The landslide occurred approximately 5 kilometers from residential areas.
Local authorities and rescue services have recovered the body of the deceased and are relocating residents living near the affected area to safer locations, the statement added. –0–
