BEIJING, Nov. 3 (Xinhua) — China's Ministry of Commerce said Monday that consultations on an "updated version" of the export control dialogue mechanism were held between China and the EU.

The consultations, which took place from October 31 to November 1 in Brussels, were attended by Jiang Qianliang, Director of the Department of Industrial Safety and Import and Export Supervision of the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China, and Denis Redonnet, Deputy Director-General of the European Commission's Directorate-General for Trade, according to the Ministry of Commerce's website.

The two sides held an in-depth and constructive exchange of views on mutual concerns regarding export controls and agreed to maintain contacts and exchanges to promote the stability and smooth operation of industrial and supply chains between China and Europe, the statement said. -0-
