BEIJING, November 3 (Xinhua) — China has decided to resume group tours to Canada for Chinese citizens through travel agencies, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said at a regular ministry press conference on Monday.
Mao Ning noted that this decision was made with full consideration of the needs of Chinese citizens for travel abroad, as well as local conditions in the tourism sector.
The move is expected to further facilitate the movement of people between China and Canada and contribute to strengthening mutual understanding and friendship between the peoples of the two countries, the Chinese diplomat said.
“We are ready to join forces with the Canadian side to facilitate the movement of people, and we hope that Canada will move towards China to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for Chinese tourists,” she added. -0-
