Ashgabat, November 3 (Xinhua) — The international exhibition and conference "Development of the Construction, Industrial, Chemical, and Energy Industries of Turkmenistan" (CIET 2025) opened in Turkmenistan's Avaza National Tourist Zone, the country's International Information Center reported on Monday.
In his speech at the event, Turkmenistan's Minister of Energy Annageldy Saparov emphasized the strategic importance of renewable energy, including solar, wind, and hydropower, for the country's sustainable development.
Dmitry Konstantinov, Director General of the Russian State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom's representative office in Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan, presented a report on "Prospects for the Use of Nuclear Energy in Central Asian Countries."
CIET 2025 is taking place on the eastern coast of the Caspian Sea from November 3 to 4. The conference aims to strengthen international cooperation, attract innovation and investment in the construction, industrial, and energy sectors, and develop mutually beneficial partnerships between government agencies, financial institutions, and private companies.
