BEIJING, Nov. 3 (Xinhua) — A youth art exchange event between China and Russia was held recently in Yanji City, Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture, Northeast China's Jilin Province. Young participants from the two countries performed joint art performances that combined elements of traditional Chinese and Russian art.

The event aims to promote interaction between teenagers of the two countries in areas such as art, science and technology, as well as traditional culture.

According to the official WeChat account of the YKAPO Administration for Culture, Radio, Television, and Tourism, the event was held as part of the China-Russia Years of Culture. Approximately 270 people participated from the Russian side, and over 100 from the Chinese side. This event contributed to the development of tourism and cultural consumption in the region.

According to official data, the Russian delegation of teenagers participated in a series of cultural exchange events during their stay in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug from October 30 to November 3.
