Mikhail Mishustin arrived in the People's Republic of China on a working visit.
From the transcript:
M. Mishustin: Dear Mr. Li Qiang, my dear friend!
I am very pleased to meet you again. I thank you and all our Chinese friends for the very warm welcome to our Russian delegation here in Hangzhou.
This city has become a symbol of the rich history and modern development of our friendly China in the 21st century. Today, you spoke at length about the rich history of the region and this remarkable lake, which we all admire. As the Chinese proverb goes, there is paradise in heaven, and on earth, there is Hangzhou. This is what the members of the Chinese delegation told us.
I would like to take this opportunity to convey to you the best wishes and greetings of Russian President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. I would also like to congratulate you on the successful holding of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. The plenary session defined the key development directions for China over the next five years, through 2030. We are confident that these decisions will ensure continued growth of the national economy and, consequently, an improvement in the standard of living of Chinese citizens.
Today, we are holding the 30th anniversary meeting of the heads of government of Russia and China. Our format ensures effective coordination of all executive authorities in the spirit of comprehensive partnership and strategic interaction.
Relations between Russia and China are at their highest level in their centuries-long history and continue to develop dynamically in all areas, despite various obstacles and illegal Western sanctions.
The current year marks the 80th anniversary of our Great Victory over German Nazism and Japanese militarism.
