London, November 2 (Xinhua) — Two suspects have been arrested after several people were stabbed on a train in the UK, police said on Saturday.

The number of victims and the severity of the injuries are still unknown.

At 19:39 GMT, police received reports that several people had been stabbed on a train heading to Huntingdon.

Rail operator LNER confirmed that "emergency services are dealing with the incident between Stevenage and Peterborough".

"Major disruptions are expected for the rest of the day," LNER said in a statement.
