Gyeongju, South Korea, November 1 (Xinhua) — Chinese President Xi Jinping said here Saturday that Asia-Pacific economies should strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation, seize new opportunities, tackle new challenges, and jointly create a sustainable and prosperous future.
Asia-Pacific economies should deepen open-source technology cooperation and build a competitive open innovation ecosystem, Xi Jinping said in his speech at the second session of the 32nd APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting.
He said that economies must care about the well-being of humanity and promote the healthy and orderly development of artificial intelligence (AI) in a beneficial, safe and fair direction.
Economies must resolutely fulfill their common but differentiated responsibilities and call on developed countries to continue to provide necessary support to developing countries in areas such as financing, technology and capacity building, he added. –0–
