Beijing, November 1 (Xinhua) — Vice Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China Ding Xuexiang co-chaired the 12th meeting of the China-Russia Intergovernmental Commission on Investment Cooperation in Beijing on Saturday, along with Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov. The two sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening investment cooperation.

Ding Xuexiang, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Politburo of the CPC Central Committee, stated that China is willing to work with Russia to consistently improve the quality and effectiveness of investment cooperation under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, continuously enrich the content of the China-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination in the new era, and further contribute to the well-being of the peoples of the two countries.

The Vice Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China praised the progress and achievements of Chinese-Russian investment cooperation over the past year and put forward a four-point proposal aimed at deepening it.

First, the two sides should focus on key areas, strengthen demonstrative leadership, and strive to achieve greater practical results. Second, they should strengthen communication and coordination, leverage complementary strengths, and make investment cooperation more profound and meaningful. Third, they should better match supply and demand, unleash the potential for cooperation, and actively explore new investment areas. Fourth, they should continue to expand openness, improve the business environment, and consistently strengthen enterprises' confidence in cooperation.

According to D. Manturov, the Russian side is prepared to fully utilize the guiding and coordinating role of the Chinese-Russian Intergovernmental Commission on Investment Cooperation, to create a fair and transparent business environment, systematically advance the implementation of key projects, actively develop new growth areas, and take Russian-Chinese relations to new heights.
