"First, we must take a leading role in ensuring peace and stability. We must always ensure the equal right of all countries to participate in international affairs, regardless of their size, strength, or wealth. We must adhere to the concept of common, comprehensive, cooperative, and sustainable security, and resolve differences and disputes through dialogue and consultation," he said.
"Second, we must take the lead in strengthening openness and connectivity. We must firmly safeguard the multilateral trading system with the WTO at its core, strengthen solidarity and cooperation, ensure the stability and continuity of global production and supply chains, develop regional economic integration, advance the creation of a free trade area in the Asia-Pacific region, and play our own role in global economic growth," the Chinese leader emphasized.
"Third, we must take the lead in promoting mutually beneficial cooperation. We must remain committed to the principle of reaching agreement while respecting differences, fully utilize the diversity of Asia-Pacific economies, build on each other's strengths, and jointly expand opportunities for cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region. We must foster an atmosphere of cooperation to achieve success and develop all economies," he said.
"Fourth, we must take the lead in achieving common good and inclusiveness. We must put people first and fully implement the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. We must strengthen support for developing economies. We must narrow the development gap, improve people's well-being, and ensure prosperity for all in the Asia-Pacific region," the Chinese president noted.
"China has been a key driver of global economic growth for many years. This year marks the end of China's 14th Five-Year Plan. Over the past five years, despite a significantly more challenging external environment, we have managed to maintain GDP growth at around 5.5 percent, thereby consistently maintaining our contribution to global economic growth," he emphasized.
"China is the only developing country to hold a national-level International Import Expo and continues to open its market to the world. The Chinese market is large and promising. China can offer more opportunities to the global business community," Xi Jinping noted.
"China promotes the development of all companies through fair competition, regardless of ownership.
