BEIJING, Oct. 31 (Xinhua) — A dialogue between political parties of China and France was held in Beijing on Thursday, under the theme "Mutual Trust, Cooperation, and Win-Win: China-France Relations Facing the Next 60 Years."
Liu Haixing, director of the International Liaison Department of the CPC Central Committee, expounded on the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee.
He noted that with the dawn of a new era, China-France relations, under the leadership of the two countries' leaders, have entered a fast track. The CPC is ready to work with France's major political parties to implement the consensus reached by the two heads of state, strengthen mutual learning and exchange of experience in public administration, and promote the healthy and stable development of China-France relations.
The French participants in this dialogue expressed satisfaction with the clear message of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee regarding the continued expansion of high-level opening-up, and also emphasized their willingness to work with China to increase mutual investment, maintain strategic independence, and achieve win-win development.
The dialogue participants, more than 40 people in total, included representatives of relevant Chinese departments and think tanks, members of the French Renaissance Party, the Republican Party, the Socialist Party, the Horizons Party, the Union of Democrats and Independents, the head of the Foundation for Prospects and Innovation, employees of the French Embassy in China, and members of French business and industrial circles in China. -0-
