Moscow, October 30 (Xinhua) – The 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE), which will be held in Shanghai from November 5 to 10, opens new opportunities for Russia to expand business ties with China. Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova stated this at a briefing on Thursday, responding to a question from a Xinhua correspondent.

"This platform will provide additional opportunities for Russian entrepreneurs and business circles to showcase their achievements, expand business ties with China, find reliable partners, and enter the international market," she noted, emphasizing that CIIE is China's largest foreign trade forum.

As M. Zakharova noted, Russian products enjoy consistent demand in the Chinese market. This applies in particular to products from the Russian agricultural sector, as well as industrial and IT developments, and high-tech equipment from Russia.

The Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson praised the stability of China's trade turnover, which is evidence of the high activity of the Chinese manufacturing sector. "This year, despite all the restrictions, Washington's tightening of tariff policies, and other sanctions, we have seen a consistent increase in China's foreign trade volumes," she emphasized.

M. Zakharova added that Beijing's redirection of goods to alternative markets allows us to confidently predict that positive trends will continue in the near future. "The multilateral trading system, which is currently under significant pressure from the United States, plays a key role in maintaining global economic stability," she noted.

The Russian diplomat wished the CIIE success. –0–
