BEIJING, Oct. 30 (Xinhua) — Chinese Defense Minister Dong Jun will attend the 12th ASEAN Defense Ministers' Meeting Plus (ADMM-Plus) and the 15th Informal China-ASEAN Defense Ministers' Meeting in Kuala Lumpur from October 30 to November 2.
The visit will take place at the invitation of the Malaysian Ministry of Defense, which is currently chairing ASEAN. This was announced on Thursday by Chinese Ministry of Defense spokesperson Zhang Xiaogang.
He noted that at the upcoming events, Dong Jun will deliver a speech on the topic of a retrospective assessment of the 15-year history of ADMM-Plus and the future of China-ASEAN defense cooperation, respectively.
