Istanbul, October 30 (Xinhua) — Russian President Vladimir Putin, in his greeting to participants of the 18th Verona Eurasian Economic Forum, noted that Eurasia is home to the main centers of economic growth and key transport and trade routes.
Vladimir Putin emphasized the important role of the Eurasian continent in global affairs, including in the process of building a multipolar world order. He also noted that Russia's Greater Eurasian Partnership initiative aims to mutually benefit from the potential of all states and integration associations located there.
“The theme of this meeting, New Energy for New Economic Realities, is highly relevant,” he noted.
The 18th Verona Eurasian Economic Forum opened Thursday at the Ciragan Palace in Istanbul. It is attended by prominent politicians, heads of leading companies, academics, and experts from around the world. The event brings together over a thousand participants from more than 30 countries and regions. The forum runs until Friday. It is organized by the non-profit association "Understand Eurasia."
